Priscilla Kumar

Originally from Fiji, Priscilla moved to New Zealand to pursue further education at the University of Otago. She initially completed a Bachelor of Science, followed by a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2013. In her final year, she received the Oral Health Research Award. 

Priscilla joined the Discover dental team in 2025 after working over a decade at various private practices in Wellington. Her primary focus is prevention and maintenance of gum disease through patient education and empowerment. Priscilla strongly believes in care that is holistic and tailored to the individual. Helping others achieve healthy, confident smiles is what inspires her every day. 

Priscilla lives in vibrant Petone with her husband Mayur, their son Krishna, and fur baby Willow. On weekends, she enjoys visiting local cafes for matcha and going for walks along the beach.
